MASA History
In 1980, what is now MASA was formed as the South Jersey Chapter of the New Jersey Association of Personnel Consultants. Promoting the growth and welfare of the recruiting profession in the region and developing a common set of ethical standards and practices was, and continues to be, our primary goal.
The association changed its name to MAAPC in 1983 in an effort to better reflect the geographical area that its members represent. Each year the association has added programs and benefits to enhance the quality of service and status of member firms. The name was changed to MASA in 2011.
Starting with just a dozen or so firms, MASA now boasts more than 30 member locations throughout the mid-Atlantic region, with a concentration in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. Members represent a wide variety of professions and specialties, including most areas of employment
